Flower arrangement tools and materials…
Items you will need…
- 2 vases ~ large and small. The smaller vase needs to fit inside the larger vase. Make sure there is a gap between the two vases for the jellybeans to fit.
- Jellybeans in colors that compliment your flowers… I used Jelly Bellies approximately 3 lbs for my vase that is 15″ tall x 8″ diameter.
- Glad Press’n Seal
- Spatula
- Scissors
- Water (in a pitcher easy to pour)
- Flowers (I used Ranunculus, Lisianthus, Iris and Salal)
Starting your Easter Centerpiece DIY…
This floral arrangement could be created in a large or small vase, I used a large vase.
I sealed the inner/smaller vase with Press’n Seal from Glad Products to keep the candies from falling inside.
Then cut off any access leaving a small amount at the top.
Now, add your jelly beans!! I used Jelly Belly Jewel Valentine Mix Jelly Beans ~2 LB and Jelly Belly Sunkist Lemon. I got both on Amazon Prime they came within 2 days. Make sure you get the jeweled Jelly Bellies, they have a sparkly finish that makes them glitter like a jewel!
Once the bottom is filled, I placed my smaller vase inside the larger vase on top of the candies.
Continue to fill the gap in between the two vases with your jelly beans.
Make sure to tap down the Jelly Bellies to remove any gaps.
Once you tap down all the Jelly Bellies for the final time… you are now ready to remove your Press’n Seal.

How to cut flower stems…
Remember to cut all your stems at least 1 – 2 inches at a diagonal to give your stems a good way to absorb water. Remove all leaves that will be below the water level to protect from bacteria growth in your water.
You may need to cut the stems shorter depending on where they are going in the arrangement. Eyeball the stem against the arrangement to give you an idea of the length you need. Always start longer, it’s easy to cut more… but once too short you cannot go back.
How to put flowers in a vase…
You are now ready to start adding your flowers. I started with Lisianthus Double Allissa Champagne. I tried to use a mix of bright and pastel colors that compliment the Jelly Bellies.
If you are needing a pick me up. It’s a good time for a Jelly Belly snack!! 😋💗😋
Next, I added in Iris Blue Magic
Next…
Is Salal … it’s a great flower to fill in all the gaps and add softness to your arrangement.
Aren’t these ranunculus… ridiculous!!The colors almost hurt your eyes!! This is Petal Driven ~ Ranunculus Cloony Mixed. The colors are incredible ranging from vibrant to very soft pastels. The blooms are absolutely breathtaking!
At this point…You need to be turning your vase looking at all sides to see where there are holes and gaps that need to be filled.
Finally… Rose Spray Cream Gracia is the last beauty to enter the arrangement. It is a smaller rose with a stunning blush tone…
Voilà!! You have a super festive and fun Easter floral arrangement, the perfect centerpiece!!
How do you keep fresh flowers from dying?
You can prolong the life of these by trimming them regularly and washing out the vessel. Add fresh water to give them a good drink. With proper care, these flowers can last up to 14 days. Make sure when you fill the vase, the stems are covered by 3-4 inches of water or more.
I hope you all enjoyed this step by step DIY!! Have fun arranging dear friends!!
