Easter Table Layout…
Since Easter is a formal celebration at our house, I often use a plain ivory tablecloth as my neutral base.
Using lemon leaf placemats from Pier 1 as a runner down and across the table. As well as, each place setting is a beautiful way to incorporate some spring greenery into your tablescape.
⬇️ Below I have links to the lemon leaf placemat shown. As well as, some other gorgeous placemats Pier 1 carries. We use our lemon leaf placemats daily. They wipe off beautifully after each meal.
Centerpieces for Easter…
The focal point for your Easter table will be the centerpiece. It doesn’t have to be fancy or expensive. Many items can be found at your local grocery store. Below are some elements you can implement in your tablescape.
1.) Potted Easter Tulips…
I adore using tulips. They add the perfect touch of spring to your Easter Tablescape. Potted tulips last a bit longer than cut tulips. The added bonus is you can plant them in your yard for a possible second bloom next spring.
At our local grocery store, I found this adorable potted tulip with the cute saying “Bloom Where You are Planted”. I added some reindeer moss on top to give it the look of grass and added a few glittered Easter eggs.
⬇️ Below are some links to products I used to create my table. I have added reindeer moss in several shades…
2.) Fresh Cut Tulips
Grocery stores are brimming with fresh cut tulips in the Spring. I love using fresh cut tulips in bright springy colors that match the color of my tablescape.
How to keep flowers fresh in fridge…
I like to purchase my tulips in advance. Look for tulips that are closed tightly. If you live in colder climates, keep them in the garage or the refrigerator at around 35 degrees. That will help to keep their blooms closed tightly and last for a longer period of time. Then a day or two before your dinner bring them inside and they will start open to perfection.
Remember to cut all your blooms when bringing them home. Cut them stems 1-2 inches and at a diagonal from the base. This will help them readily soak up water.
3.) Easter Floral Arrangement…
If you wanted to be a bit fancier and really wow your guests… you could create a breathtaking Easter floral arrangement as your centerpiece.
Easter Flowers Delivered…
All of my flowers are from Petal Driven. They specialize in high-end fresh cut flowers. They have over 5,000 varieties that are shipped directly to your doorstep at amazing prices. If you are looking for flowers for a special event, or just a bouquet to brighten your day Petal Driven is your source. They sent me a breathtaking selection and everything arrived perfectly!!
4.) Easter Bunnies & Easter Eggs
Adding cute bunnies around the table complete my centerpiece. You could use any Easter decoration you have on hand. Beautiful Easter eggs, large and small also add a festive touch to the table
As I build the centerpiece, I try to look at each guests vantage point, so everyone sitting at the table has something beautiful to look at. I love adding in little surprises in front of each guest.
5.) Easter Confetti
Easter Confetti?? Yes, Easter confetti!! Sprinkling around yummy jelly beans or chocolate
Here, I added Jelly Belly Jewel Valentines Jelly Bean Mix as a touch of colorful Easter confetti. It also serves as an appetizer for your guests… 😄
6.) Easter Candle
At my table, I always love to have a fabulous candle burning whether it is a special celebration or a simple dinner during the week. I adore candles from Flash Point Candles.
Their candles are handmade out of earthenware clay, which is typically used in outdoor pottery. Each candle is gazed by drip and reactive glazing, which gives each piece different colors and variations. Every piece comes out unique, so no two are alike. They are also hand poured with a premium soy wax blend, and have cotton eco-friendly wicks. Another bonus to these candles is that you can repurpose the vessel when you are finished.
Shown here is their breathtaking Saxon 6 Wick Candle.
Simple Easter Placesettings…
At each place setting I always add chargers. Here I used a silver-colored charger to add a bit of contrast from my china.
⬇️ Below are some super cute chargers from Pier 1.
I am a huge fan of plain white dishware and china. You can completely change your tablescape each celebration with your table accessories.
For more formal celebrations, I love to use vintage china. Like my grandmother’s china, I have shown here.
You can then finish off each place setting with a linen or paper napkin. F
My husband and I owned a home decor store for 10 years. I personally carried Caspari paper products in my store for many years. They are a bit more expensive but the quality is exceptional!
⬇️ Below are some gorgeous Spring napkins from Caspari I found on Amazon.
Adding a festive napkin ring like this cabbage napkin ring is also a perfect touch.
Finally, I love adding in beautiful stemware… even to drink a simple soda. It makes you feel special no matter what your beverage may be.
DIY Easter Gift Ideas…
A Easter gift to take home…
I always like to send my guest home with a little gift to remember our celebration and how much I love them. Here are some simple and fast ideas you can do yourself.
1.) A traditional Easter Basket
There is something special about receiving an Easter basket no matter how old you are. Filled with some yummy goodies like Cadbury Cream Eggs, malted milk eggs, and Easter colored M & M’s just makes your heart happy! I find every year the cutest Easter baskets for my guests at my local grocery store at very reasonable prices. They serve as a festive decoration as well.
2.) Potted Pansies
I potted these sweet little Pansies in a small terra cotta pot. Then wrapped a pastel ribbon around and added a touch of reindeer moss on top. Your guest can take these home and place them on their windowsill to remember your celebration.
3.) Chocolate Bunnies
Another
It is fun to place them on each dinner plate or next to the place setting. They add a festive to touch to the table.
4.) Cupcakes
Cupcakes are a yummy treat you can easily have for dessert and make extras for your guests to take home.
I love whipping up a bunch of these delicious gluten-free Humming Bird cupcakes with cream cheese frosting from a recipe I found on Now Find Gluten Free. I converted the recipe to cupcakes by filling the cups one-half to three-fourths full with batter then baking 15 minutes. Check doneness by inserting a wooden toothpick into the center of the cupcake. If the toothpick comes out clean, the cupcakes are done. If the toothpick comes out with moist crumbs on it, bake the cupcakes for a few more minutes.
I also converted the cream cheese frosting to be dairy free (I have a severe dairy allergy). This was done easily by substituting the cream cheese with Daiya Plain Cream Cheeze Style Spread and substituting the butter with Earth Balance Buttery Spread.
I was able to get tiny cupcake carriers for each family and sent them home with a few yummy treats.
Conclusion,
Creating an inviting Easter tablescape does not have to be overwhelming. Adding a few simple elements like fresh cut tulips and few festive decorations can transform your table from ordinary to the extraordinary.
Preparing a gift to take home for your guest in advance will make them feel loved and cherished. They will remember your celebration for years to come.
